Jesus as goal of Creation

However, once Jesus is seen as the goal of creation and the eschatos, the consummation can be seen as reachable (in one sense, as is already reached!) before the end of natural world history. This is possible because the eschatos is a person, not just a set of forthcoming things. In terms of the person of Jesus it therefore becomes possible to maek the apparently contradictory statement that the consummation comes before the end.
